A researcher and mass spectrometry professional, Alexander Cherkassky has more than 20 years of experience in the bioinformatics industry. He earned his master’s degree in the subject from Northeastern University and Boston University in Massachusetts. Since 2018, Alexander Cherkassky has served as a senior director at Fluidigm Inc. He is also a member of the American Society for Mass Spectrometry (ASMS).
The American Society for Mass Spectrometry (ASMS) was founded in 1969. It functions as a nonprofit organization that promotes knowledge of mass spectrometry, in addition to related scientific topics. ASMS holds an annual conference focusing on mass spectrometry where scientists present and discuss their research papers. The 69th ASMS Conference on Mass Spectrometry and Allied Topics will be held October 31 through November 4, 2021, at the Philadelphia Convention Center. The event was originally scheduled during June, but was postponed until late October to boost the chances of a face-to-face event.
This year’s conference will include more than 60 oral sessions chaired by some of the most prominent figures in the academic and scientific community, including Novartis associate director Jennifer Campbell and senior scientist at Institut Pasteur Julia Chamot-Rooke. The topics to be discussed during the oral sessions range from drug research to artificial intelligence in mass spectrometry. Oral sessions are organized in two sets of eight on the last four days of the five-day event .
